SMARC

SMARC (“Smart Mobility ARChitecture”) is a small form factor computer module standard for low-power, low-cost, high-performance applications. Modules typically use ARM SoCs, but low-power x86 or other RISC CPUs may also be used. Two sizes are defined: 82 mm × 50 mm and 82 mm × 80 mm. Modules connect via a 314-pin MXM III connector and include core CPU functions such as DRAM, boot flash, power sequencing, GbE, and an LVDS display transmitter. They are used with application-specific carrier boards that provide additional features like audio, touch controllers, and wireless devices. SMARC is managed by SGET, with design guides and full specifications available for free.
